About Raku Pottery Painting
Why not try your hand at painting a plate, making it one of a kind in the whole world? It’s such a joy to let your imagination free and lose yourself in coloring. Of course, it’s more than just plates: we have many different kinds of unglazed pottery available. The fee varies according to the size and kind of the item, but for small pottery such as plates, ashtrays or money boxes it can be as low as 800 yen. After your piece is fired in a kiln we will send it to you by post. (Depending on the season, it may be possible to bring it back home with you the same day.)
There is also a statue of Arita porcelain bear that you can take home with you on the day. (2000 yen)
